This is a summer-only program that combines the Marine Center’s standard 3-hour sea turtle class with a nighttime hatchling turtle release!
Learn about sea turtle ecology and conservation activities in the sea turtle class, and then release the hatchlings (hatched from eggs protected at Omura Beach) the day before during the night with your own hands!

Date & Time: The day before sailing
Afternoon session (Sea turtle class 3-hour course): Start ~13:30 *After September 22, the course will be 2 hours
Evening session (release of baby turtles): Start ~19:00
*Held during the hatching season from July to September
*Even if you make a reservation, we may not be able to hold it due to hatching conditions, weather, or sea conditions. We appreciate your understanding.
Fees:
Adults (Junior high school students and older) 7,700 yen (tax included)
Children (elementary school students) 5,500 yen (tax included)
Option with baby turtle figure: +1,000 yen (tax included)
*Sea turtle class 2 hour course: Adults 6,600 yen (tax included), Children (Elementary school students) 4,400 yen (tax included)
*Cancellations for reasons other than ship transportation cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee
Eligibility: Please apply by purchasing a boat ticket and reserving a place to stay
*We do not accept participation by elementary school students only
*Preschool children (infants) are free of charge
Time Required: [Daytime session] Arrive at the Marine Center by 13:30 ⇒ Sea turtle class (13:30-16:30)
Pick up and drop off at the Marine Center (18:30-19:00) ⇒ Release turtles at the Seihyo Beach (19:00-19:30) ⇒ Pick up and drop off (19:30-20:00)
Note: Pick-up service is available for the evening session. Please make sure to include the name of your lodge when you make your reservation.
If you have a means of transportation, please cooperate with the local assembly and dismissal.
If you would like to have the option to have a hatchling figure, please indicate that when you make your reservation.
