In addition to the “Sea Turtle Lecture,” which uses slides to explain the ecology, history and current status of sea turtles, the “Aquarium Tour” with our staff, the “Feeding Experience” with cute sea turtles, and the “Shell Polishing Experience” where you can touch real sea turtles, you can also add on the experience to touch real sea turtle eggs!

If your timing is good, you can even touch the cute little hatchlings that escaped onto the sand the day before!
The only time you can touch the hatchlings during the day is during the 3-hour course!

Event Participation Period: June 20 – September 17
Date and time: Ogasawara Maru (boat to and from the Marine Center)
Arrival and Departure Times:
[Arrival at Chichijima] 13:30~(once in the afternoon)
[Departure from Chichijima] 8:30~ (once in the morning)
[Arrival/Departure times to and from Chichijima] 8:30~/13:30~ (Morning/Afternoon, once per time slot)

Participation fee:
Adults (Junior high school students and older) 5,500 yen (tax included)
Children (Elementary school students) 3,300 yen (tax included)
*All participants will receive an original postcard as a present! (Excluding preschool children and groups)
*For the 2-hour sea turtle class course, fees are: Adults: 3,300 yen (tax included), Children (Elementary school students): 2,200 yen (tax included)
*Cancellations for reasons other than ship cancellation will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Eligibility: Please apply by purchasing a boat ticket and reserving a place to stay
*We do not accept participation by elementary school students only
*Preschool children (infants) are free of charge
Note:*Please call to make a reservation the day before.
We will meet and disperse individually at the site, so please make your own arrangements for transportation.
*Please refer to our Access section for directions to the Ogasawara Marine Center
*Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear that can get wet
*Please let us know if you would like to take the 2-hour course (not including the egg-touching experience)
